I ask especially how we can leverage strong female-to-female alliances to confront and change that there is no winning here as women. It doesnt actually matter if we are aging naturally, or resorting to surgical assistance. We experience brutal criticism. The dialogue is constructed so that our bodies are a source of speculation, ridicule, and invalidation, as if they belong to othersand in my c...

Not young no more. When we came back from the break, that's when we had to -- we've grown up. We've shown strides, every single one of us, the six freshmen. It goes to the help we got from our older players, guys like Chap, Lex and J.B. that's on us every day and they don't cut us any slack. So a big part of us growing up is to those guys that pushed us every day.
If some of these folks think that its time to launch a war, they should say so. And they should explain to the American people exactly why they would do that and what the consequences would be.
As mentioned inyesterday's post about who Texas fans should cheer for and against, it is not a simple as saying Texas is in or out or deserves to be in our out. While an individual team's resumes tells the committee a lot, those resumes/teams must also be compared against each other and then seeded accordingly. Will theTexas Longhornsbe among those selected? Honestly, I don't know right now. It's...
We were too excited, and everyone was trying to make a play....Sterling Gibbs'minutes were huge tonight,Jaylen Bondhad a huge rebound, J'Covan (Brown) really finished the game well and Myck (Kabongo) had a huge steal there at the end. I think that there is just such a toxic atmosphere right now, specifically in the Republican party. I would love to say that it's going to be all about ideas and solutions, but unfortunately a lot of it is about just being able to say, 'I'm more angry at the Obama administration than somebody else.

Our habit of deferring so much play into the end of life, however, is a bit more puzzling. Our ancestors didnt do this it is a feature of our modern world. While encouraged by laws and regulations, the idea also just seems to appeal to many. But why, for example, doesnt the idea of spreading a decade of play from age 65-75 across the four decades from age 25 to 65 appeal more? Why not want a year...
Sad puppy pictures to really drive home the fact that it's Monday...
President Obama wants everybody in America to go to college. What a snob....There are good, decent men and women who work hard every day and put their skills to the test that aren't taught by some liberal college professor. That's why he wants you to go to college. He wants to remake you in his image.
I would probably say, County Fair is the worst thing I have ever had to do in my life. It's not something a normal human being would be able to do.

You weren't just good enough, you were great. You sang the whole damn song without a band. You made the picture what it was. A lot of leading men could have played my part, a lot of guys could have filled that role. But you Whitney, I truly believe, were the only one who could have played Rachel Marron at that time. You weren't just pretty. You were as beautiful as a woman could be. And people jus...

Here's one way to think of it: a trillion is a million millions. If you paid out $1 per second, settling a $1 million debt would take less than 12 days. To pay off $1 billion would take 32 years. Paying off $1 trillion at a dollar per second? Nearly 32,000 years. A trillion is a 1 followed by 12 zeros, like this: 1,000,000,000,000. A trillion square miles would cover the surface of 5,000 planet...

On the field before the game, I was so scared, knowing theBearswere going to be going after me at 100 miles per hour, trying to kill the gimp. I wanted to go up to Coach and tell him I'd changed my mind. When I came out during introductions, I could only slap hands using my left hand. I was shaking. One of my teammates came over and asked me how I was doing. I told him that, honest to God, I felt ...

Texas is now 0-7 in games decided by two possessions or less. Three of those losses have come against top-10 teams -- Kansas, Baylor and now Missouri. Just like it did against Kansas, Texas had the lead late only to lose the game. Against Missouri, Texas crawled back from a dozen down to take the lead with 55 seconds left. But when it came down to a final shot, Texas could not convert.
Different team and different late game situation but the result and story was the same - Texas had a shot to knock off a top-10 team and grab a signature win and couldn't make it happen.
